Group classes(currently unavailable)

Can I attend a free trial lesson for the group classes?

Yes, you can. You are welcomed to attend a free trial lesson of any level group class we are providing during the week at the start of each term (first week classes only). Check class timetable to see which classes are available.

How do I sign up for a free trial lesson?

It is easy. Simply contact us at info@cc-lingo.com and let us know!

When do your group classes start?

Our standard group classes are run from the start of each term and go on for 10 consecutive weeks. For term dates, please check out class timetable.

Are enrolments only available at the start of the term?

No. Although we would recommend students enrol at the start of the term to avoid missing classes, enrolments in group classes during the term are still possible as long as there are at least still 7 weeks left in the term for Foundation courses and Beginner courses. However, exceptions can be made if you have previously studied Chinese before and have some foundation, provided that you contact us to discuss if it would be appropriate for you to join the course mid term.

How do I pay for classes?

There are two methods available for online enrolment: bank transfer and credit card payment via our website. To opt for bank transfer, simply fill out your enrolment form and submit it. We will issue you an invoice via email. To choose credit card online payment, simply go to class purchase to select your chosen group course and pay online. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, ApplePay and PayPal.

If I miss a lesson, will I be able to reschedule it to attend at a different time?

Unfortunately, no. Group classes are run with a fixed schedule and missed lessons are considered forfeited.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer referral discounts to students who introduce their friends or family to join our classes. Both the existing student and the new student will be able to enjoy a 5% off their tuition fees in the new term.

Will the class times change every term?

We try to keep the class times consistent. The class level will progress every term but the class times will remain the same. For example, the Level 3 class on Monday 6:30-8:00pm will progress to a Level 4 class in the next term but the class time will still be Monday 6:30-8:00pm.

What is your class size?

We aim to run small-sized classes (2-5) so the teacher can provide individual support to every student in the class.

Conversational workshops (currently unavailable)

How is the conversational workshop different from the group classes?

The conversational workshop only teaches speaking and listening through the use of Pinyin without teaching Chinese characters to focus on improving students’ communication skills. Group classes teach both conversational and reading and writing skills to develop students’ well-rounded Chinese abilities.

How long are the workshops?

They are 1 hour each.

How do I enrol in the workshops?

You can purchase a 10-pack workshop passes ($280) and attend 10 workshops in total during the term. We run 2 workshops every week so 20 workshops every term. Alternatively, you can purchase single workshop passes ($30/each).

If I only purchase single workshop passes, can I attend a workshop anytime?

Yes, you can as long as you notify the teacher prior to the workshop that you will be attending.

If I don’t come to a workshop, is my workshop pass still valid?

Yes. You only use up a pass when you attend a workshop.

How long are the workshop passes valid for?

They are valid for 6 months from date of purchase, which is roughly 2 terms. We will notify you if you have still have unused passes close to the expiration date.

I am a complete beginner, can I come attend the workshops without attending any course?

Yes, you can. We will teach everything you will use for practice in the workshop so students of any levels are welcomed. Although we would recommend complete beginners to attend at least a Foundation course before coming to the workshops so you have a basic understanding of Chinese speaking and more vocabulary/sentences to use and practise.
